Camp Jabulani, family-owned and managed, is a private luxury safari lodge with Relais & Chateaux accreditation which means guests are guaranteed first class accommodation, cuisine, facilities and personalised service. Located in close proximity to the Kruger National Park, and scenic Mpumalanga region, its most notable feature is the herd of trained African elephants, which were rescued by the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre – the foundation set up by Camp Jabulani’s owners, the Roode family. Visitors can experience the extraordinary impact of interacting personally with the mammoth animals on daily elephant rides (the only night safari in the world!), around the waterhole as they swim and play, and in the wild habitat surrounding their stables. A truly unique experience.

The luxurious Camp Jabulani has only six suites and never caters to more than 12 guests. The outstanding suites all flank the dry riverbed and are all individually decorated but in the same elegant, open style. Guests have access to the main lodge’s lounge, dining roomer and fabulous safari spa or Therapy Lapa. No children are permitted in this section; ensuring guests total peace and quiet.

Zindoga Villa: This private two-roomed villa is suited to the family traveler as children of all ages are welcome, or to the client who prefers the more exclusive experience.

There is no schedule at Camp Jabulani. Guests will find no programme, with dictated times and activities, instead, the professional management team will consult with guests about how they would like to experience the product. Times are scheduled according to clients’ wishes. Some of Camp Jabulani’s notable offerings include the daily elephant back safaris, safari drives in the Big Five private Kapama Reserve, visits to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, indulgent treatments in the outdoor Therapy Lapa, gastronomic delights at the hands of the masterful culinary team, and hot air balloon excursions over the reserve.

The lodge is easily accessible via road, via daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg, or via private charter flights.

Regardless of which camp visitors choose, they are guaranteed the highly personal hospitality and service excellence which has become world renowned.
