Introducing the newly refurbished & improved presidential villa
Did you know that the Presidential Villa at Azura Benguerra Island has been described as one of the best villas anywhere in the Indian Ocean? Now it is even better after a series of refurbishments and upgrades. The three-bedroomed retreat has one of the most secluded and private locations on Benguerra Island, located right at the end of the property. The villa comes with its own entrance, helipad, butler-host, and private chef.
There are three, super-spacious ensuite bedrooms, indoor and outdoor bathrooms, a media room, sitting and dining area with a ‘wine bar’, a roof terrace with spa hot tub, chill area, sun loungers and 300-degree views, as well as a large infinity pool spanning the front of the villa. There is also the fantastic treehouse to catch the afternoon breeze, and the beachfront Sala with panoramic views to Bazaruto Island and the Indian Ocean beyond.
Whats new at the Presidential Villa….?
Carved wooden doors lead into the villa and throughout, the décor has been refreshed and every room is light, bright, and beautifully airy. In the first and second bedrooms, you’ll find stunning new interior details, as well as brand-new bathrooms and a large bath in the master ensuite. The third bedroom has been completely rebuilt and is now a full-size spacious room with a partial sea view, and a private terrace with daybed and seating area. The bathroom features a gorgeous new outdoor bush bath as well as double outdoor showers. There is now a beachfront Sala, which can be used for different dining experiences, as well as another place to relax during the day. The roof terrace is a gorgeous new space for relaxing, eating and generally soaking up the sun and the stunning views across the island and out to sea. In the treehouse, new chairs have been added with space for spa beds when massage treatments are booked. In the third bedroom, a luxurious outdoor bush bath has been added for the ultimate connection with nature.

Azura Benguerra Island is paradise found. Azura on Benguerra Island is blessed with hot and sunny weather year-round. Temperatures are generally in the upper 20′s to low 30′s celsius, and rarely fall below 20 degrees even at night. The water temperature is gloriously warm, and ranges from 24-30 degrees plus. Benguerra Island tends to receive on average a quarter of the rainfall that the mainland does, and there can be several months of the year when there is no rain at all. This makes the landscape very arid, and challenges the indigenous gardens and water supply, but usually makes guests very happy!
