Thornybush Game Lodge is delighted to announce the launch of its newest addition, the Thornybush Africology Spa and Wellness Centre. This expansion introduces Wellness Safari experiences into the offering.

Designed by Artichoke, the team behind the refurbishment of Thornybush Game Lodge and the recently launched safari-villa Kamara House, the Spa & wellness Centre harmonises with the four elements of nature: earth, water, air, and fire. Each element is thoughtfully incorporated to create a serene and grounding atmosphere, providing guests with a natural sense of wellness. The serene atmosphere captivates guests from the moment they arrive, greeted by a magnificent stone-clad wall symbolising the earth element- an embodiment of strength and stability. A focal point of the wellness facility is the wellness swimming pool, seamlessly blending with the organic shape if the nearby riverbed, invoking a profound connection with the water element.

Curated for the health- conscious, wellness and peace-seeker, the wellness centre boasts state of the art facilities. The spa team is led by a qualified Doctor, yoga instructor and whole-round wellness specialist. Guests have enjoyed morning yoga sessions on the deck, sound healing therapeutic sessions and an array of treatments.

The wellness centre facilities include three treatment rooms including couples therapy room, an infrared sauna, fully equipped gym, yoga deck hosting daily yoga sessions. A rim flow pool and sun loungers for pre and post treatment relaxation and a wellness juice bar offering healthy and delicious cold pressed juices and shots.Thornybush has a holistic approach to health and wellness at Thornybush and embraces it in all aspects of the safari experience offered to guests. The Spa at Thornybush Game Lodge and Simbambili are sanctuaries if balance and calm, where healing hands work in harmony with nature to restore the body and mind.

Using the Africology range of natural products, our therapists specialise in treatments for stress and fatigue, as well as jet lag, anti-ageing, and deep tissue relaxation. Or try the crystal healing journey, which combines scrubs, wraps and massage to create a wellness treatment that’s specifically tailored to your needs.

To continue the wellness theme the food at Thornybush is sublime, from Ottolenghi- style salads, tapas by the pool or dining in the magical setting of a lantern-lit riverbed, the food at Thornybush is healthy, wholesome, and delicious. The ingredients and produce are carefully sourced from local suppliers and most of the greens used are freshly picked from the nearby community garden project.

Africology Treats are offering guests 15% off a 2 hour Destressing Anti-ageing Facial Treatment which is perfect for destressing the skin after long-haul travel and change in climatic conditions.

Products are rich in natural oils and further enhanced with infrared sauna radiation. Guests will also receive a back scrub and balm-infused massage and a deep hydration facial restoring elasticity and stimulating new cell growth.
