& Beyond & Great Plains - Conservation Work

With the shocking revelation that One Rhino Is Killed Every Seven Hours and the world facing a very real possibility of species extinction by 2020, &Beyond in partnership with Great Plains Conservation have taken the drastic step to de-horn all of the rhino at &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve.  These horns were safely removed by the &Beyond conservation team and are being held in secure storage.

There are a number of initiatives set up to help support action groups and save Africa’s rhino.  The Rhinos without Borders project set up jointly by &Beyond and Great Plains Conservation is working to translocate 100 rhino to havens in Botswana, you can support this project by:

As well as the options above there is also the opportunity to make an enormous difference to the project by adopting a rhino, including sponsorship of the translocation of one rhino to the value of $50000.  Those who donate will be able to name the rhino and play an integral role in the animals survival story.
