Another great report from one of our favourite Masai Mara safari camps – Cottar’s Camp. This famous camp sits within its’s own conservancy bordering the Mara with amazing wildlife viewing and one of the best atmosphere’s in Kenya – homely and inviting.

With an exceptional year underway, it has been wonderful to welcome many guests back to Cottar’s Safaris this year, while also making many new friends with lots of newcomers to the Maasai Mara this year. Wildlife sightings have been fantastic, and the Maasai Mara has been at its greenest thanks to recent heavy rains. Exciting predator-prey interactions have marked the year so far, with wonderful sightings of lion, cheetah and the ever elusive leopard.

Even with the unusually heavy rains recently The Cottar’s team, true to form, have worked tirelessly and they are very excited to have another luxury double tent updated and ready for their busy migration season. We are back to that time of year again, with anticipation in the air for the sound of thousands of hooves traveling through the Mara landscape. We can’t wait for the captivating chaos of the ‘greatest show on earth’ to be upon us again, and we look forward to our guests experiencing this magical time with Cottar’s and in all our other camps.
