Another Singita post for you this week – we really do love this conservation company. The work they do in remote heavily poached areas to regenerate them and bring wealth to the local community is second to none.
At Singita Grumeti in Western Tanzania, which we wrote about last week – Singita already have numerous private residences. Singita Serengeti House is a wonderfully modern yet understated home from home with views of the vast open African plains. Here you have a luxury private house with four suites, ideal for families or parties of eight or less looking for the ultimate in private safaris. Of course you get an entire team of wonderful staff all to yourself – you will leave as a friend not a client.

They also have Singita Explore which we absolutely adore – this is a luxury mobile tented camp, and when we say luxury, we really mean it. This safari camp definitely takes luxury mobile camping to another level. Singita Explore has six tents and so is perfect for families or parties of twelve or less. The mobile camp moves around the vast Grumeti reserve to ensure it is perfectly placed for wildlife viewing no matter when you stay there. They move when they don’t have guests, so don’t worry, you won’t be asked to help pack up the pots and pans!
Singita Sasakwa is the flagship lodge here on Grumeti and has numerous options from 2 bed, 3 bed and 4 bed villas – on top of their standard 1 bed suites – so plenty of choice for private houses there too.
We are extremely excited to announce the opening of brand new Singita Milele in May 2024. This exclusive use safari villa will actually sit on top of the famous Sasakwa Hill too, so will benefit from some of the most far reaching and dramatic views in the whole of the Serengeti.
Singita Milele will have five extremely luxurious suites for families of 10 or less, each suite will be individual with their own décor to celebrate a different species of African wildlife. Each suite will also have it’s own jacuzzi overlooking the stunning savannah below. This amazing villa will have everything from it’s own spa, to it’s own gym, and of course private guides and private vehicles, and best of all, private chefs to cook you up some exceptionally delicious food.
As with every Singita property you visit your stay contributes hugely to the local foundation, which in this case will be the Grumeti Foundation. As a guest you can go and meet the conservationists and community experts who are helping to bring huge success to the conservation projects here and helping the local community become one of the most prosperous and healthy in all of Tanzania.
Grumeti offers amazing wildlife viewing all year round – but we favour April-June when the wildebeest migration is in this area and in full swing – it is the rainy season in Tanzania during this period but this is usually afternoon thunderstorms, which can also be a huge highlight to witness.
