Safaris unlimited is a Kenyan based family run horse riding safari company established in 1971. The founder Tony Church set up the company with funds he got after selling his golf clubs. He started off with 3 ponies to begin safaris across East Africa. Now run by his son Geordie Church and his wife Felicia Unlimited Safaris offers you a chance to take part in an exhilarating safari on horseback and discover Africa’s remote and wild places, with the human form disguised by the shape and movement of a horse you can get closer to the wildlife than by vehicle or foot and access areas that vehicles cannot reach.

Set off with a full crew of highly skilled chefs, grooms, waiters and porters to private conservancies and campsites where a canvas mobile camp will be set up in the evenings and the group can discuss the day’s adventure with the team of knowledgeable guides/hosts. Experienced horses take you through the bush and get you up close to a variety of African game. Unlimited Safaris the original pioneers of horse riding safaris across Masailand prides itself on being the most luxurious and professional riding safari operator in the region and offers something which is very much unique and adventurous.

Ride Botswana

Another one of our favorite riding safari operators is a bit further south in Botswana, Ride Botswana explores a very unique terrain from the arid salt pans of the Makgadikgadi to the waterways of the Okavango Delta. The only company in Botswana that offer experiences in different parts of the country and unique corners of the country too.

There are 3 options that are great for riding safaris in Botswana;

The Okavango delta “jewel of the Kalahari” generates one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa including at least one third of the continents remaining elephants.

Thamalakane River attracts a large variety of game along the stunning tree lined river which is not only for competent riders, but also for those with little or no riding experience, and is a firm favorite with families too.

Kalahari – in the heart of the country lies the largest network of salt pans in the world this ensures some of the best riding in Africa. In this extraordinary place there is riding for everyone.

Options to do morning and afternoon rides and not the full riding safari experience are on offer too for those who want to get a feeling for it, riders of all levels are welcome and all the possible luxuries and comforts are provided.
