The Okavango Delta is famous all over the world because of its stunningly beautiful floodplains that occur once every year becoming one of the largest Delta’s in the world. An Okavango Delta Safari has long been famed for its abundant wildlife and the chance to experience dramatically changing moods and seasons. The Delta was formed where the Okavango River empties onto a swamp in an endorheic (a basin or lake having no external body of water or outflow such as a river or ocean, only losing its water through the process of evaporation or being soaked up by the ground) basin in the Kalahari desert. Okavango Safaris are the real home of bespoke Botswana safaris. It hosts some of the world’s most opulent lodges. Encountering African elephant, hippo, buffalo, topi, lechwe, lion, wild dog, cheetah, white and black rhinos, and a whole lot more (!). We want to show you some of our top stays in this stunning part of Africa.
