Whether you are thinking of combining your stay with a longer itinerary in Africa’s Zimbabwe, Botswana, Kenya, South Africa or anywhere else for that matter, a weekend break perhaps, we cannot stress how perfect a stay at Mpala Jena Camp would be for you. The pure serene, tranquil, excellent service, divine cuisine and a multitude of activities on offer in both the Zambezi National Park as well as the Victoria Falls National Park.
Mpala Jena’s luxurious but authentic tented suites resonate with a white and blue palette throughout inspired by the falls. Stone-wall screens reflect the stunning Zimbabwean architecture of this wonderfully historic country. All tented suites include air-circulation systems within the canopy of your bed, so you don’t have to endure the summer heat of Southern Africa. An indoor and outdoor shower, bath, plunge pool and if you so desire, they even have an exercise bike – to keep on top of your fitness for that up and coming marathon perhaps! In the main area of Mpala Jena Camp, you will find an interactive chef’s kitchen where you can experience delicious tasting menu’s as well as wine tasting menus from the extensive wine cellar. The camp is located within an exceptionally peaceful setting and being 100% solar powered, with the latest Tesla battery inverter system, which has a blissfully added bonus of not emitting any sound or generator noise!
The stunning massage tent is THE perfect place to relax, taking in the sounds of the resident migratory birdlife, the fast-flowing Zambezi river with occasional laughing hippo. You may even inadvertently be communicating with hippos and other wildlife in your slumber – either in the massage tent or your own suite!
