Ossimba Beach Lodge Mozambique

In northern Mozambique at the entrance to Nacala Bay lies a remote beach and on that beach sits the Ossimba Beach Lodge.

The Eco Lodge which is also surrounded by indigenous forest offers you a sustainable, luxury beach getaway on the Indian Ocean. The rooms are made up of 8 spacious thatched villas, all with easy access to the main areas consisting of the lounge, dining room and bar yet all ensure privacy.

All the villas are comfortable and feature, sea views, private outdoor showers and the honeymoon suite even has a double bath! The decor is understated and unpretentious the main areas are a great place to relax during the day, whilst socializing or not. The lodge pool is a needed refreshing escape from the tropical heat and overlooks the blinding white sandy beach.

Sailaway – Dhow Safaris, Mozambique

The Bazarutto Archipelago is 10 – 15 km offshore between Vilankulo and Inhassoro. The Archipelago is made up of five stunning islands; Bazaruto, Magaruque, Benguerra, Santa Carolina and Bangue. The islands are in a marine park and the 2- mile long reef of Benguerra is a great spot to dive, snorkel and sail as it’s sea life is brilliant and colourful with thousands of vibrant tropical coral reef fish to see.

 

A dhow safari through these waters is breathtaking, adventurous and will not be something you will regret. It’s different, intrepid and I guarantee you won’t have met someone who has already done it- have you?

You have different options;

The camping safari – 2 or 3 -day safari’s where guests sail during the day and camp with great views on the beach at night.

Accommodated Safari- if you would prefer to retreat from the elements after a day being exposed to them this option is for you. The 2 beach chalets have ensuite rooms and a pool.

Day safari – These trips are a great taster if you aren’t feeling majorly intrepid. Visit either Bazarutto or Magaruque.

Azura Quilalea – Mozambique
