Introducing the brand spanking new managers at Sosian! It was with a heavy heart that we heard the seriously heart-breaking news of the death of former ranch owner Tristan Voorspuy last March 2017. We are unbelievably delighted to discover they are continuing on with Tristan’s legacy and the news of these wonderful new managers is brilliant – Pete and Ali Cadot. Welcome! Pete has been involved within the safari industry for well over 40 years, he has run lodges and camps throughout eastern Africa with the plus point of being the most phenomenal photographer to boot. His knowledge of the flora and fauna throughout Eastern Africa is second to none, his relationship and respect within the local communities is fantastic – his warmth and ‘legendary camp fire wit’ will be of course a huge welcome to Sosian – and we cannot wait for you all to meet Pete and his wife.
Pete is also a fantastic chef and his passion for food is second to his photographer and knowledge for local flora and fauna. So be warned (in a good way of course!) he may well be cooking you up one of his famous tender rump steaks, with olive oil, garlic, basil, fresh spinach salad and white chocolate dressing to finish off – we have warned you!
And then theres the wonderful Ali – within Sosian’s recent news update, they tell us Ali is from a ‘pedigree safari family’ and we cannot argue with this! Both Ali’s parents were committed naturalists with Ali’s father setting up Bateleur Safaris Ltd, then later director of Ker & Downey Safaris – photography runs in the family on both sides as he was also a passionate photographer too!
With Ali’s excellent eye for detail and impressive organisational skills, Pete’s photography and cooking skills and both with a huge passion for everything in the African bush, whether it be fishing, walking, riding, jumping of water falls, camping or simply enjoying a small jaunt out on a game drive, Sosians new managers and fantastic team will undoubtedly make your experience one you will never forget.
