A wonderful update from one of our favoruite Namibian private reserves – Wolwedans in the Namib Desert. They are delighted to share that they’ve had a fantastic start to the year, and are filled with gratitude for the continued support and enthusiasm their guests bring to the NamibRand. Their love for the untouched beauty of the desert inspires Wolwedans daily.
In appreciation of guests’ choice to make Wolwedans their desert retreat, they are thrilled to announce an extension of the Stay 3 Pay 2 special offer, now valid until the end of April 2024. This is Wolwedans’ way of saying thank you and encouraging you to join them, allowing yourself to fully immerse in the serenity of the NamibRand Nature Reserve.
Furthermore, they are excited to update us on the progress of the upgrades at Desert Lodge. Wolwedans are pleased to offer a sneak peek of the new ‘Wolwedans Chillers’ now available in each suite. With a few more surprises in store, stay tuned for a comprehensive update on the new look, set to welcome guests starting from June 1, 2024.
With three days at Wolwedans, guests can fully engage with the extraordinary landscapes of the desert—a journey to explore, enjoy, and, most importantly, reset. Wolwedans look forward to providing an unforgettable experience for those who choose to embrace this special offer. In our experience travelling extensively throughout Namibia, a two night stay is far too short at Wolwedans and in fact three, or ideally four is the best option by far – there’s so much to see and do here.
The upgrades at Desert Lodge are progressing wonderfully, each suite will now boast its very own ‘Wolwedans Chiller’! These compact silos are filled with ice-cold water, providing a refreshing escape during the hot summer months. Additionally, each suite is receiving a rejuvenation with new soft furnishings, and the main area is undergoing upgrades. Notably, the main area will no longer feature a central pool, as each room now incorporates a chiller for a more personalized experience.
Situated in one of NamibRand’s most picturesque locations, Desert Lodge offers breath-taking views of orange-hued dunes and craggy mountains. We are confident that these enhancements will elevate the experience of this already unique destination and really do only go further in making Wolwedans and must visit when in Namibia.
