Now an update from several of our camps across East Africa – run by the indomitable Asilia Africa:

Rekero Camp will not only be reopening, but will have a fresh, airy, and bright new look and feel. Rekero’s stunning redesign highlights the natural beauty of its surroundings while also providing your clients with the ultimate wildlife viewing location in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Space is still available for last minute enquiries!

Encounter Mara is nestled comfortably in the Naboisho Conservancy of the greater Masai Mara ecosystem. Steeped in big cats, this is an ideal location to send clients looking for dense wildlife populations without the vehicle numbers to match.

Lastly, Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is set to re-open with a refurbished and expanded main area for your travellers to enjoy when their time is not filled with one of the many amazing activities only available in this conservancy. Along with the iconic visit to see the last two northern white rhino, clients can experience lion tracking, the K9 anti-poaching team, running the wild, wildlife-livestock integration, and, starting this season, Rhino Monitoring (US$70pp). You can have the unique opportunity to learn from the incredible rangers who protect these creatures every single day, whilst assisting with the collection of invaluable data for the team.

All three of Asilia’s incredible camps located in the Northern Serengeti will be re-opening on 1 June. There is still space available for last-minute travellers, looking to enjoy quality game viewing and exceptional value for money ahead of high-season price increases.

Sayari Camp and Olakira Migration Camp, located in Kogatende, both have available space and are ready to welcome you!

Ubuntu Migration Camp, located on the Lamai Wedge, is in its final stages of a stunning refurbishment, revitalising this extraordinary camp surrounded by incredible wildlife concentrations, just in time for the busy travel season.

Rubondo Island Camp is ready for your more adventurous clients seeking primate excursions. Rubondo Island Camp can be seamlessly incorporated with gorilla trekking in Rwanda and safari in the Serengeti. We have also extended free flights offer for Rubondo Island Camp inclusions originating from the Serengeti. We have also extended the offer of free flights between the Serengeti and Rubondo Island Camp to all new bookings travelling until 31 March 2025.

With the exception of our brand-new exclusive-use Kokoko Camp opening in July, all other Asilia Camps and Lodges will be re-opening in June. With far fewer travellers during peak season and an incredible breadth of unique activities, a reminder that, as of 1 June 2024, all stays at Roho Ya Selous and Jabali Ridge are further enhanced by the inclusion of a private vehicle for every individual group. Southern Tanzania is the answer for an exceptional safari experience throughout peak season travel.

Usangu Camp blends comfort with pioneering exploration for our guests, including opportunities to sleep out under the stars, enjoy fishing and boating, and catch nocturnal creatures during night drives with thermal imaging technology, all while being the only camp within 6000 km2. There is no better place to feel completely immersed in the ecosystem than this special place.
