Zomba Plateau
The Zomba Plateau is very well known in Malawi and rises to over 1800m in some parts and is completely covered by African Juniper and Widdringtonia. The top is also cut by meandering streams and dotted with waterfalls and lakes. You can hike to the top of the plateau with ease and once there you have the most magical views of Lake Chilwa, Mount Mulanje and the Shire River. The abundance of small wildlife and plants up here make the trek very rewarding and you are likely to see things you might not see in other parts of Malawi.
