Bumi is a famous lodge which has been open since 1975, and recent went under total renovation and rejuventation. All rooms have fantastic views of the Lake and there is also the option for larger groups, of staying on a houseboat for a night. As well as game drives, one can see some fantastic wildlife from a boat, and guests are also invited to walk with armed professional guides, and track the elusive and endangered black rhino in the nearby Matusadona National Park. Among the species that may be seen at Bumi are many elephants and buffalo, massive Nile crocodiles, lions, many hippo, the elusive leopard, kudu, water buck, impala, warthog, monkeys, baboons, sable, zebra. Bumi has a fantastic spa, some great fishing and the walking is not to be missed.
