Don’t you know? It’s all about Tanzania darling! There are a few things more authentic than a safari in a mobile camp following the route of the mighty migration of thousands upon thousands of wildebeest and zebra as they snake their way across the Serengeti plains, avoiding ambushes from lions, leopards and cheetahs. Here at the Luxury Safari Company we love love LOVE Legendary Lodge and Mwiba Lodge, but we are extremely excited to be able to tell you about Legendary Serengeti Mobile Camp.

Not only is this one of the most authentic mobile camps within Tanzania, this camp is perfect to combine with many other camps and lodges within Tanzania. The camp is set up in three different locations during different times of the year, following migration of wildebeest and zebra. Between the months of July through to November it is within the northern Serengeti, between May and July the camp is situated within the western corridor of the Serengeti and during the months of December and April Legendary Serengeti Mobile Camp is nestled within the southern Serengeti and Maswa region of Tanzania.

Tanzania as a fantastic and totally unassuming country home to some of Africa’s most famed tourist destinations: of course, the famous Serengeti, then theres the Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Kilimanjaro all in the north and then the beautiful Zanzibar just off the coast. While most visitors will congregate to these undeniably exotic spots, Tanzania has many other hidden natural, historical and truly sensational cultural gems – every day’s a school day! These gems include the well-trodden paths of our ancestors of the 19thcentury caravan routes, once famed ports of call for Oriental merchant ships, ancient and superbly preserved rock paintings from tribes and old people gone by, Africa’s largest protected natural parkland area of the stunning Selous in southern Tanzania, as well as prime destinations for seeing chimpanzees in their natural wild habitat. All this is held together by the beauty and dignity of over 100 ethnic groups that live side by side and totally amicably in Tanzania.

Mwiba lodge is incredibly easy to get to, only being a short flight from Arusha airport or if you were to be staying within the Ngorongoro area, it is a short flight from Lake Manyara airstrip flying directly into Mwiba Airstrip. Here you will be met by your safari guide who will transfer you on a either a short 15 minute drive directly to Mwiba Lodge or a delayed drive that incorporates a game drive en route – who knows what you may come across!

Set in 129,530 acres of completely private land, the main Mwiba Lodge camp includes 10 luxury tented suites, each with large twin or king beds, adorned with sumptuous soft bed linen, so you can fall into a cloud snuggled sleep on return from your game drive – I mean, safaris at the end of the day are extremely tiring! To top it off, each guest that stays at Mwiba Lodge and even the Legendary mobile camp, has their own exclusive private guide and own private vehicle – whats not to like!
