Pemba Island

Location: North of Zanzibar
Climate: Hot all year, but monsoon during Apr, May and Nov

Pemba Island is also known as ‘The Green Island’ and covers an area of 980 sq km.  Most of this tropical island is dominated by small scale farming, such as cloves, there are over 3 million clove trees. The capital of Pemba is Chake-Chake, which is perched on a hill with views to the west. Pemba is also becoming known for its dive sites, steep drop offs, and abundant marine life. There are many 5* dive sites off Pemba Island.
