The long awaited re-birth of Tanda Tula has finally become a reality and the camp has undergone a radical transformation. A family run operation with a down to earth vibe, Tanda Tula Safari Camp has nine hybrid canvas and glass suites open to an endlessly entertaining but incredibly peaceful bushveld setting. Each suite is positioned overlooking the stunning Nhlaralumi riverbed with sweeping views of the bush. The entire front of the suite is a combination of sliding glass doors and canvas sliding walls, allowing the light to flood in. These ecologically sensitive suites are fully ‘off grid’, powered by solar with water wise systems.

Tanda Tula field camp is a private-use camp within an exclusive concession of 6,500 hectares on the nature reserve. Two daily game drives with a maximum of six people means you have the rangers, ostensibly, to yourself, and if you see or hear something, they follow. There is a great chance you will see the Big 5, along with wildebeest and perhaps a wild dog.

Bush walks are led by experienced rangers and trackers, and offer great opportunities to learn about the region and see the many bird species that live in the Reserve.

In the evening an open air dinner is served around the log fires in the traditional boma and there is also the option of riverbed dining too set in a beautiful location.
