Castleton, once the farmhouse home of Singita founder, Luke Bailes, has the feeling of a luxurious family home. Guests can take their luxury safari experience at their pace, utilising the private guide and vehicle at an hour that suits, arriving back in time for an exquisite 5 course ‘light’ lunch of salads, local meats and mouth-watering desserts. Lodge staff are on hand to assist with any activity from spa treatments to local cookery lessons and children’s nature crafts to serving that perfect evening cocktail.

The stonewalled house offers communal living spaces, a spa treatment room and large outdoor swimming pool while the 6 individually designed cottage suites are set out in a traditional African colonial style and benefit from spacious bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms with baths and showers and luxurious bedding.
