Jongomero is the sister camp to Selous Safari Camp and Selous Private Camp, and maintains the same elegance and comfort. Set in one of Tanzania’s most deserted National Parks, Jongomero offers a truly private game experience. Each tent is set on huge raised platforms with thatched roofs and private verandahs, with plenty of space in between each room. Wildlife is constantly in camp since Jongomero is built on a wildlife route down to the river. The dining area and main area have a great view of the hippo friendly swimming pool below.

Walking and game driving is excellent here, with so much unchartered terrain to explore. Fly camping under the stars is also excellent and can be a one or two day expedition. With over 530 species of bird, a huge population of buffalo, elephant and lion, plus a unique combination of both lesser and greater kudu, roan antelope and African wild dog, Ruaha offers as definitive a cross-section of wildlife as any park on the continent.
