Sabora Tented Camp is by far the best camp in the Serengeti, based on Grumeti Reserve, a private reserve in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, excellent for the migration during June and July. Reminiscent of a bygone era, Sabora’s décor is exquisite, and everything has a history or a story. The surrounding flat short grass plains are full of wildlife, which is fantastic to watch from your enormous verandah through your telescope. The whole camp has wireless internet, and all other mod cons, which are neatly hidden and tucked away, to ensure absolute authenticity of the ‘old Africa’ feel. The Michelin star chef just tops it off.
