Within the heart of the Kenya’s Masai Mara is Rekero Camp. Styled in the traditional east African way, this camp evokes memories from an era gone by. Perched high on the bank of the Talek River with stunning sweeping views across the endless plains of the Masai Mara, it really is something to behold.

Being small this camp has a relaxed and cosy feeling, with only 9 spacious camping tents and 2 further family tents. All canvas tents have en-suite showers, running water and flushing loos. There are charging facilities available to make sure your cameras are fully charged to capture those Kodak shots! The camp is also suitable for children above the ages of 5 years old.

An array of activities are on offer from morning and evening games drives, bush breakfasts and other treats, cultural visits, horse riding and hot air balloon flights (this is at an additional cost).

The best times to go to this camp would be between July to November where you are in with a chance of witnessing the greatest spectacle on earth; the migration of thousands upon thousands of wildebeest and zebra – the location of Rekero Camp is perfect to see some of these herds crossing the river.
