Giraffe Manor was made famous by the Lesley-Melvilles who took Rotschild giraffe out of a private wild herd, to ensure they weren’t extinct – an old colonial English style house, with manicured lawns, trampled by the now successful herds of Rotschild giraffe and their friends the wharthogs. At Giraffe Manor if you leave the window open you will definitely end up with a giraffe peering at you as you wake up, or with it’s head in your salad bowl – feeding the giraffe through the windows and on the lawn is an absolute highlight. The house itself is decorated in old English style and is comfortable and elegant, with exceptional food.
